I find people who make hand gestures when they speak annoying. Same kind of annoying as the ones who smile frequently. They come off as dumb and weak personality-wise. The opposite of what I would call authority figure.

Most of them do it because it comes naturally for them. The sociopaths that do it for manipulation purposes are relatively rarer and more intelligent.
