The problem is that it’s difficult for ethnic outsiders to acculturate into Japan. On top of that their society has a lot of laws, rules and regulations which is difficult for more independent minded individuals to thrive. They have a lot of societal issues such as aging society and elderly people dying alone in their homes. From the evolutionary perspective they are failing
